101 things… all about me

I loved reading 101 things about Kecia, Erin, and Kristen and thought I would jump on the bandwaggon. The funny thing is, I thought this list would be difficult since 101 seems like a big number, but it was actually pretty easy.

Without further ado, here’s more than you ever wanted to know about me…

  1. I want to live my life to the fullest, and I really mean that
  2. I would give anything to have more confidence than I do now
  3. I’m perfectly fine being alone, and sometimes I prefer it
  4. I’m an introvert, although I can put on a good show in a social situation that might make it seem like I’m an extrovert.
  5. For the most part, I hate parties (see above).  I rather stay home and read a magazine or watch TV.
  6. I have never required much sleep, but I know I need to work on getting more (especially for recovery)
  7. I’m very intense
  8. I’m a Scorpio and I think I fit the bill: Scorpios are fiercely independent. They are able to accomplish anything they put their mind to and they won’t give up. They are perfectly suited to being on their own. *yup that’s me*
  9. I get jealous easily and I compare myself to others wayyy too much. I’m working on this, since it’s totally wasted energy.
  10. I’m still not comfortable in my own skin and I’m just WAITING for the day when I actually accept my body for what it is… will that ever happen?Todd's IPhone UTAH 217
  11. I might come across as confident (I think) but deep down I am very insecure.
  12. I can’t sit still for long periods of time… I go completely insane. This is why I don’t do well in long car rides or flights.
  13. I say it like it is
  14. I will ALWAYS be honest with you and I’m really good at keeping a secret
  15. I don’t have many girlfriends and the few girlfriends I have live a plane ride away. This is where being an introvert can be hard i.e. making new friends
  16. I’m very private, so blogging can be hard for me at times, but it’s an excellent way to get my thoughts out
  17. I’m always hungry and I’m known for being hangry quite often
  18. I have a sister and we are COMPLETE opposites in every single way:)
  19. People are often shocked when I tell them I’m in my 30’s (yay!)
  20. I’m angry at myself for not spending enough time with my grandmother before she died (in September).  She passed suddenly and I never got to say goodbye. I think about her every day.
  21. I truly admire my Dad for being an entrepreneur and self-made. He’s my true hero and sacrificed a lot for our family.
  22. Studying abroad in Australia was one of the best things I have ever done. I still think about it all the time and would love to relocate there for a year or two.
  23. I want to travel the world, but I don’t really like flying
  24. I worry a lot…. to the point where it’s probably not healthy
  25. I want to get an M Dot Tattoo… I just have no idea where to put it… my ankle? calf? back? It’s hard deciding!
  26. I regret having never moved to Colorado in my mid 20’s.  I have always felt it would be the perfect place for Todd and I to live… I guess it’s still not too late:)
  27. My mom is one of 8 kids and I have a ton of cousins. All of my family is within a 20 mile radius in Massachusetts, hence why it would be hard to leave.
  28. I’m really scared about my parents getting old
  29. The fact that time goes by really fast scares me
  30. I’m paranoid about certain environmental things i.e. air pollution, plastics, cleaning chemicals… I worry a lot about toxicity. Again, I worry about everything
  31. I have been blessed with beautiful, easy to manage hair (thanks mom and dad!)

  37. I almost went to Ithaca College in NY to play division 3 field hockey as a walk-on, but had my sights set on Division 1, that is why I chose James Madison University (in Virginia) in the first place
  38. See above… Trying to play D1 was risky move because James Madison was in the Top 20 in the country.  I went to training camp and tried out.. .they took another girl over me (I was devastated). I ended up playing club field hockey all four years and loved it.
  39. Going far away to college was one of the best things I could have done. It forced me to grow up and learn a lot about myself. I learned to very independent quickly!

  43. I had arthroscopic knee surgery in 2010 and I highly regret never getting a second opinion prior to going under the knife

  46. I like being spontaneous
  47. 62179_10100868203574949_993799326_nI do really well under pressure and tend to wait until the last minute for things. But I ALWAYS get it done
  48. I don’t break the rules… I never cut corners
  49. I can’t stand people who cheat. Cheaters never win in my book
  50. I love food, but it’s also my enemy.  I can be obsessive about what I eat, to the point where it has been unhealthy and restrictive in the past. Training for my Ironman last year made me realize that I need to eat A LOT to fuel my workouts… it was a game changer!
  51. I love animals, so so much… just not cats… they are sneaky and creep me out

  65. I HATE losing… when it comes to anything in life, not just racing. Everything is a race:)
  66. I am super competitive and don’t believe ‘everyone’s a winner’  there is ALWAYS a winner, ha ha. Did I mention I hate losing?

So much fun to get to know you better!! I too wish I would have moved to Colorado during my 20s..I love it there! I also get jealous of others, which wastes a lot of my energy. Hangry is my middle name 😉 My family can definitely attest to the fact that I hold grudges and don’t forgive easily, but I am always honest about my thoughts and feelings…don’t ask if you don’t want to hear the truth from me!!

I loved reading this! I love that you’re a fellow New Englander. I am also very much an introvert, insecure and worry about everything. That is why I love Triathlon. It forces me so far out of my comfort zone. I have never been an athlete( except ballet.) I would love to connect with you!

    • Reply Kristin February 17, 2015 at 8:12 pm

Thank you for stopping by, Mary! Happy to meet another New Englander through my blog:) I also feel like Triathlon forces me to get out of my comfort zone. It’s really good for us introverts! What are you currently training for? Would love to hear about your training goals!

fantastic put up, very informative. I’m wondering
why the other specialists of this sector do not notice
this. You must proceed your writing. I’m confident, you have a great
