Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday everyone! I am excited for this weekend because it’s going to hit 60 degrees here and I might even ride my bike OUTDOORS, yes!

Here are some things I’m loving this Friday:

Red Ape Cinnamon

You have not tasted real cinnamon until you’ve tried Red Ape. Red Ape Cinnamon is organic certified, non-GMO and also gives 5% of their profits to protect orangutans and their habitat. I love to put this cinnamon on fresh cut pink lady apple slices. I have only tried the original Premium Ground Cinnamon flavor, but they have lots of options like Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla. Trust me, this cinnamon is so flavorful and just plain wonderful!

 

Gregory Jade 28 Hiking Pack

The Jade is the pack that I use for all of my hiking. It’s specifically designed for women, and it’s really comfortable. I have an issue with ‘packing light’ on hikes, I try to always be prepared. This pack fits everything that I need and more. Thankfully Gregory recognizes that a woman’s torso differs from her male counterparts; they design packs with a narrower back panel and a harness that’s tailored to a woman’s shape

 

Nikkis Coconut Butter

If you are looking for something healthy to cure a sweet tooth craving, Nikki’s Coconut Butter is a dream come true. My favorite flavor is the Vanilla Cake Batter, OMG it’s amazing! It seriously tastes like cake batter. I typically warm this coconut butter up slightly and enjoy it as if it’s melted frosting (incredible). You can also add it into recipes or smoothies! Ingredients: Organic Coconut, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Honey, Organic Vanilla (Vanilla Beans, Alcohol, Water), Sea Salt AND only 3 grams of sugar per serving.

 

Feetures! Plantar Fasciitis Sleeve

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis. I have tried ALL sorts of remedies for this horrible, unforgiving injury. A few months ago I purchased Feetures Brand Plantar Fasciitis Sleeves, and they have really made a difference. The sock fits nice and snug around the arch of your foot and heel. It mocks the idea of taping your foot, without going through the hassle. Although it does not completely take away my heel pain (I wish), it helps my foot feel more supported! I plan on wearing the sock during the Boston Marathon!

 

TYR Flex Fins

Thanks to a recommendation in Triathlete Magazine, I purchased the TYR Flex Fins! I tried them for the first time this week, and I really like them so far. I am really trying to improve on my kicking mechanics with swimming and fins help you to accomplish a proper kick. I feel like I am using my hips more with the fins (and not just my ankles). The fins also make you so super-fast in the water, which is of course a bonus:)

      Online! Just google Nikki’s coconut butter. You have to pay for shipping, but trust me it’s worth it!

    That coconut butter sounds dangerously good! 😛 I also love cinnamon, especially in my porridge. An organic version would be great!
