Happy Friday everyone! The weather looks pretty good in New England this weekend, so I am looking forward to getting outdoors for some running (and maybe snow shoeing).
Here are five things I’m loving lately:
My new Rudy Project TT Helmet
My Triathlon Team (QT2 Age Group Elite Team) is sponsored by Rudy Project. As one of the perks of the sponsorship, we get a sweet deal on helmets and sunglasses. I just got my BRIGHT pink racing helmet in the mail this week and it was love at first sight! I saw a girl racing with this helmet last summer and I knew I had to have it. Now family members can really find me on the Ironman course.
Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical
After my nutritionist suggested I swap out my black tea for green tea (due to antioxidant properties), I found this amazing flavor from Mighty Leaf. I don’t like plain green tea, so this stuff does the trick! A little secret I just learned is that I was steeping it for way too long (3 minutes). It tastes much better (less grassy after taste) when you steep for 30 seconds – 1 minute, and you still get the antioxidants (at least that’s what I was told!)
Health Warrior Coconut Chia Bars
These bars are my ‘go-to’ for a quick burst of energy. I LOVE the coconut flavor and the texture/crunchiness of the chia seeds. They are perfect for pre and post workout! From the Health Warrior website: Health Warrior Chia Bars are small, but don’t doubt their power. Nutrient-dense foods like Chia allow you to feel fuller, faster.
I spend A LOT of time riding my bike indoors on my trainer and it helps to have entertainment! I love watching movies and shows on Amazon Prime Instant Video (amazing by the way!) and most recently have started ‘Downton Abby.’ I find it helps to have a series to watch, because it gets me hooked in and motivated to get on my bike!
Going along with my hiking post yesterday, my dream is own an Airstream one day! I am obsessed with vintage (or new) airstream trailers. There are all sorts of creative things you can do to decorate them. After seeing one in person at the ‘Camping & RV Expo’ in Boston, now I really want one! As much as I like tent camping, it would be nice to have all the amenities of an Airstream RV.. plus they are so darn cute!
Have a great weekend!!
